Gimme The Mike Chicago!Just when we thought we would die if we saw even one more wannabe belting out a Donna Summer tune, NBC 5 Chicago is giving area singers a chance to show off their skills in a new locally produced series. Starting in July and spanning 6 weeks, "Gimme the Mike Chicago!" will showcase local talent in an on-air competition. Auditions for the show are May 22 and May 23, 2004. This is bound to be even more craptacular than American Idol.
