But first things first: New York smashed by tidal waves is too good to miss. If only I thought there was any chance that movie could be good; oh well. Also at the Music Box, I see, is Guy Maddin's "Saddest Music in the World," a strange and offbeat bit of absurdist delight. Worth the trip, that one.</p>
