Chasing Vermeer

2004_6_chasing_vermeer.jpgThe Scholastic BookExpo will be in Chicago this weekend, featuring some of their biggest names in children's lit. Among them, and signing on Friday morning, will be Blue Balliett, whose book Chasing Vermeer has been billed "the Da Vinci Code for tweens," is getting raves, and is set in and around Chicago. The illustrations are by Brett Helquist, the man famous for his drawings for the Lemony Snicket series.
