<description>&lt;p&gt;This is one of the best movies ever made, period.  It&apos;s just amazingly atmospheric, unexpected, and bittersweet.  

The ending of the movie isn&apos;t the original ending of Towne&apos;s screenplay.  And, according to screenwriter Lem Dobbs (the Limey), Towne was never happy with Polanski&apos;s version, so what do you know?&lt;/p&gt;</description>
