Chicagoans Prefer the South Sider

In the battle for sandwich supremacy, Chicagoans prefer Ozzie Guillen's South Sider sub to Dusty Baker's North Sider.

Chicagoist had hoped to perform our own taste test the other day, but our local Subway was out of roast beef -- an early indicator pointing to Guillen's popularity. The South Sider combines roast beef with turkey, bacon Swiss cheese and ranch dressing.

Chicagoist was reduced to settling only for a North Sider, which includes pepperoni, ham, tomatoes mayo and spicy mustard. To be honest, Chicagoist was not that impressed with Baker's sandwich-making skills. Baker theorizes, "Ozzie's name has been there for a long time. Maybe it's Ozzie. Maybe it's me. Or maybe they just like his sandwich better."
