Bodies Washed Ashore are Missing Chicagoans

Nylon RopeAuthorities have identified the bodies that were found washed up on a Pleasant Prairie beach yesterday as Chicago residents Kevin Amde, 45, and his sons, 3-year-old Tesla and 6-year-old Davinci. Kevin's wife and the mother of the boys, Veronica, reported them all missing May 11. Kevin was last seen on May 6 when he picked up Davinci from school.

The bodies were found fully dressed and without any traumatic injury so authories first suspected they were involved in some sort of boating accident. They now suspect something more sinister. The bodies of Kevin and his sons were tied together with nylon rope through their belt loops and around their bodies. Two school bags filled with sand were also tied to the bodies and one of the boy's pockets were filled full of sand and zipped closed.

There are no signs that the Kevin and Veronica were having marital trouble and Kevin had no history of mental illness or criminal problems.
