Margaret and Rachelle Take on 15 Little Drinks

Chicagoist Girl Squad hit up the swank bar/restaurant Aria last night to sample their July drink special: the tiny tini. Starting this Thursday, for a scant $12, you get five baby boozes and two appetizers—for reals, the drinks were strong enough to make even a boozehound blush.

The eats were none too shabby either; there was even some tasty vegetarian fare. Might we recommend the risotto balls? Rawr. Grilled pepper beef with blue cheese, crab cakes, aloo samosa, and Aria’s freshly-made nan also earned high marks.

Yeah, as much as CGS likes eating, we’re pretty happy to stick to drinking. And drink we did. We washed down five martinis (each) with five glasses of sangria (together): red, white, mango, passion fruit, and coconut. All in all, we give Aria four kinda drunk thumbs up. It’s a class act.
