Like Fox Sports? Like Sam Adams? Want to be a baseball announcer? Eh, one outta three ain’t bad. Hit Clybar tonight to audition to broadcast the Cubs-Marlins game September 4. There will be some kinda booth or something where contestants will do the commentary for three Chicago baseball highlights.
The contestant will be judged on smoothness of delivery, knowledge of teams and players, color commentary entertainment value, broadcast appropriateness of color commentary (i.e. no profanities) and crowd reaction to performance. The videotape of the best announcer for the promotion will be entered into the semi-final round of the contest.
If you win, you fly to Florida, do the broadcast plus pre- and post-game shows and some interviews. Good luck, sports fans. If you can’t make it tonight, there are loads of other auditions through the beginning of August.
