If you've got a car in Chicago, you know it's time to get a new sticker. At $75 each, they ain't cheap either. But $115, if you buy one late, is worse. And speaking of late, the deadline is Thursday, July 15. After that grace period (the real deadline is June 30), cops start ticketing you with hefty $50 fines. Urk.
And if you live in a crowded neighborhood, don't forget those neighborhood stickers either -- another $25. Reportedly some folks are trying to beat the system completely, by stealing them from other cars, although Chicagoist has taken plenty of stickers off windshields, and we've always voided them. How do the thieves manage it?
