O'Hare Delay Mess

O'Hare - Photo: Christian Science MonitorEy ey ey.. Chicago's got so much airport news going on we don't even know where to begin. And it all comes down to delays. Chicago is the US's prime connecting hub and major center for international travel so when there are delays at O'Hare they ripple through the entire aviation system and cause backups at other airports.

What are the proposed solutions? Well, we've got the FAA threatening to cap commercial flights going into and out of O'Hare if the airlines can't agree to voluntarily cut their schedules themselves. We've got Gary, IN proclaiming itself to be the future - the 3rd airport serving Chicago. Then there's the battle to build an airport from scratch near Peotone, IL. And finally, we've got Daley still making efforts to expand O'Hare.

Focus, people! Maybe it's just us, but it seems like everyone is trying to do something different and nothing is getting done.
