Another MJ Comeback?

In what's likely to become an annual rumor, the Trib hints that Michael Jordan is pondering yet another comeback. Jordan has been spotted at Hoops the Gym playing some b-ball with current NBA stars like Antoine Walker and Michael Finley. And supposedly he's still able to hold his own on the court still. Past appearances of this nature did preceed his other comebacks.

Chicagoist is pretty skeptical that this is anything more than some sportswriter's idea of a fun way to pass a slow summer, but one never knows. So we'll help fuel the flames...

MJ's pregame ritual included a steak dinner. As we mentioned here on Chicagoist last week, One SixtyBlue is becomming a Michael Jordan's Steak House in November, just around the time the NBA season kicks off. Coincidence?

Another juicy scenario has MJ helping out friend Robert Johnson by suiting up for the expansion Charlotte Bobcats this season. MJ's from North Carolina, and had been invited to join the ownership group for the team. Wanting to become a majority owner in the league, he passed but maybe he still wants to help the team get off on the right foot?

Guess we'll just have to wait and see whether anything develops...
