I wouldn't hold out hope on The Bongo Room... On the weekends, there's usually a line down the sidewalk before they open, so as soon as they open the doors, there's already an hour wait...

Ah, Minnesota, where college students frequently find themselves piling into cars to drive to Wisconsin becuase they've suddenly realized that the liquor cabinet is empty, people are coming over in an hour and, whoops, it's after 10 on a Friday night and all the liquor stores are closed. Or after 8 during the week. Or Sunday. The Booze Hound in me does love Chicago.

Yeah, those no liquor on Sundays rules suck. What about us Jews? It's not our holy day. We should get some sort of special ID card than lets us buy at 7am on Sunday and in states that ban Sunday sales.

Having spent a few recent weekends in Indiana, where they don't allow any Sunday liquor sales at all, even the post-noon rule is fine with me in comparison. Ten a.m., though, works better. Puritanical rules suck.
