Can't We All Just Brush Our Shoulders Off?

To the surprise of no one, R. Kelly filed a $90 million dollar lawsuit Monday in the wake of an alleged pepper spray attack by Jay-Z associate Tyran "Ty Ty" Smith and the subsequent cancellation of their joint "Best of Both Worlds" tour.

R. Kelly alleges it was Jay-Z's “lack of professionalism and Image: The Smoking Gun
unpredictable behavior,” not his own, that were the cause of several cancelled shows on the tour. Through his publicist, Kelly admits to canceling some shows but only “because of the production [problems] and his desire to put on the best show.” In addition to lighting problems, Kelly also alleges Jay-Z skipped a show in Memphis on October 17th to attend a birthday party for Usher. (Guess that'll go in "Confessions Pt. III")

Chicagoist was in a play once where some lights weren’t working. You know what we did? We went ahead and did the show anyway but moved some of the blocking a little bit to the left. Then again we weren’t professionals, just high school kids. So maybe being a professional means knowing when to say the show won’t go on.

The Smoking Gun has the full complaint on their website in addition to a mugshot of pepper-sprayer Titty...er, Ty Ty Smith (no relation, by the way).
