A quick note here as you're heading out for the holiday weekend. Smart Bar wil be hosting a CD release party for The New House Sound of Chicago. The 18-track comp is a recent history of the various masters of the new house sound at SmartBar and was put together by resident DJ Miles Maeda with vocals by fellow resident DJ Colette. You can pick up a copy of the CD for $10 as you groove to the sounds of Maeda, with Tyrel Williams and DJ Mill opening. Cover is ten bucks but if you get there before midnight and say you're a "UR VIP" (as in UR Chicago Magazine) then you're in for only five.
