Blue Bags and Security Cams

Chicago Recycling CamWhat an opportunity to talk about our favorite topics! Recycling and Big Brother! In case you haven't heard, Chicago's Blue Bag recycling program is teetering on total failure. Not only is barely anyone participating, the material is getting blended into the rest of the trash, and getting plowed into an Indiana field. Meanwhile, City Council has approved a pilot curbside pickup program.

So, to prove that our recycling treated right, the City of Chicago has setup a webcam so we can watch recycling in action! Sun-Times columnist Mark Brown is a little incredulous that the city thinks the cam will make a difference. Chicagoist agrees, but we're pumped to see yet another camera added to the city.
