Free Chicken

2005_02_free_chicken.jpg

Stop into McDonald's between 11am and 2pm today to get some free Chicken Selects. Word is you can try the strips for free, and if you buy them you can get a coupon for a free medium drink or fries.

The offer is limited to one strip and one sauce per person per visit while supplies last, which is kind of lame.. but we're hungry, we're broke, and we're heading over. Besides, it doesn't say there's a limit on the number of visits we can make! AND the offer runs from today through Sunday. That's a lot of free food if we do this right!

Really. No offense. But who gives a crap about this?

I realize not every blog post is going to be a Pulitzer winner here, but plugging a lame McDonald's promotion? Come on.

The McDonalds in the Illinois Center has 2 people standing practically in the concourse. I picked one up on my way to Potbelly's, and one on my way back. That's 2 visits, right?

They are much better than the typical crap you get from McDonalds, but full price is a bit pricey.

technically, Norm, McDonalds is an Illinois company.... based in a Chicago suburb no less, so, there you go! I justify it!

also, free food is free food. it told two people that sit next to me at work and they ran out the door for their free strips. they came back and proclaimed it worth the trip. just because you're not interested, norm, doesnt mean others arent.

ALSO, those banner ads were created by people who live and work in Chicago. That's another Chicago-based justification, if you needed one.

Also, all chickens are from Chicago. In the same way, all monkeys are from France.

i like my chicken with banana's and custard. or en français: j'aime mon poulet avec la banane et la crème.
