Michael Jordan's Moldy Mansion

While they often refer to the United Center as the "House MJ Built," Jordan has been having some issues with the house he actually built to live in. Soon after he and his family moved into their Highland Park mansion in 1999, they began to experience problems with water leaks and mold. Following a year of legal proceedings, Jordan has settled out of court.

The Jordans filed suit against Berke Homes, STO Corp., Mohawk Plastering, Waukegan Roofing and Estates Windows claiming over $2.5 million in damage to their home. Terms of the out of court settlement were not released. But Chicagoist has the feeling that MJ's as competative at the bargaining table as he was on the court, so he probably received enough to repair his home and then some.
