Chicago Firefighter Demonstrates His Face-Kicking Skills on Chicago Cop

2005_06_kickface.jpgBlues Fest turned violent on Friday night when a Chicago firefighter was charged with kicking a police officer in the face during an altercation.

Police say that Christopher Pavlak was pounding some guy in the head when a female sergeant tried to break it up. Pavlak "took a fighting stance and began shouting profanities" at the sergeant and then was taken into custody. As a lieutenant was questioning him he kicked the guy in the noggin.

The lieutenant who was kicked and the other dude the Pavlak was pounding the shit out of were taken to the hospital fore treatment of their injuries. Pavlak is charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and aggravated assault and battery.

Police say they don't know what started the initial fight.. or if alcohol was a factor (seriously!?). The Perpetrators were on stage about the time of the fight, maybe Pavlak just didn't like the way were playin, though Chicagoist digs their sound.
