Sox Fans "Vote for Scott"

Chicagoist asked you to do our city proud by voting early and often for MLB's Final Vote to select the last players on the All Star game rosters, and you didn't disappoint!
While many thought Derek Jeter's selection for the Amercian League a forgone conclusion, Scott Podsednik was voted into the All Star Game, along with Houston's Roy Oswalt for the NL squad. Podsednik received 3,965,473 votes, while Oswalt recieved 2,652,549.
The White Sox rallied behind their left fielder, instituting the "Podsednik Plan" on Monday. Podsednik spent the 2-hour rain delay campaigning and signing autographs, Ozzie Guillen's kids wore "Vote for Scott" t-shirts and a similar sign was posted behind home plate for TV viewers to see, the PA announcer regularly reminded fans to vote, and Mark Buehrle addressed the crowd before the post-game fireworks urging them to vote for Pods. The players also did their part on a dugout laptop.
With Scott Podsednik joining Paul Konerko, Jon Garland and Buehrle on the All Star Team, the Sox send 4 to the game for the first time since 1975. With that many Sox players in the game, hopefully they can influence the outcome of the game and give themselves home field advantage in the World Series.
