Well thank goodness they mentioned that we have opinions. Just in case no one noticed. I was amused by the woman who was all freaked out because people found out personal information about her. Especially since it was because she posted the info on her blog in the first place.

rb - you know how the news has to be like "the sky is falling! Tune in at 10!" .. it's not how we were approached for the piece and it's not how we participated in it.. so that's why i said it'd be interesting to see how the spin goes. mj - individual sites will be covered.. i know part of the segment is supposed to be in regard to student bloggers. we represent a chicago city blog.

How come the media doesn't cover independent blogs? Chicagoist is part of a kind of franchise--the "ist" sites. It's more like an interactive online magazine rather than a blog where an individual is writing without any support.
