Chicagoist may have had our disagreements with Richard Roeper in the past, but we're happy he didn't hold that against us when he chose his favorite local website. In the January 2006 issue of Today's Chicago Woman (available for free in newstands all over the city), Roeper chose to include Chicagoist as one of his favorite online reads.
Roger kept it all business, choosing IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, Movie City News, Cinematical, and his own site, rogerebert.com as his top 5 sites.
Roeper's list seems to be a list of sites we all surf at the office when we're supposed to be working - Fark, Rotten Tomatoes, Salon, PerezHilton, Gawker, ESPN, and Chicagoist. Note to Roeper's boss: Maybe you should start looking over his shoulder a little more. Crack that whip.. but we don't mind if he keeps reading Chicagoist, of course.

could roger's list be a little more boring??
And really, listing your own site seems a little arrogant to me. Of course you think you're site is useful. Maybe it wasn't meant that way, but it just strikes me that way.
Or maybe Roger was just being typically tongue-in-cheek with the cheap plug? His site is worth it for his "Great Movie" essay series alone.
you're right chuck. it's hard to see but after saying he likes rogerebert.com, roger says "site devoted to thousands of reviews and other writings by probably my favorite movie critic"
I suppoooossse . . .
Instead of perezhilton.com, read thesuperficial.com for funnier comments
Well, I've got to go with Roeper on this one. It might be the first time I picked Roeper over Ebert.
/I avoid the little gossip sites, though. Who needs to know what the gossip is in New York??? And perezhilton.com just sounds awful, but I've never been there.
I wonder why this isn't in Ebert's links...

You really should take that photo of them down though, if I want to see pasty white guys trying to hide flab in suits, I'll go to Mortons, OK? I'll walk down Michigan Avenue or go to the Tribune Tower...
