Mike, this Johnny Chicago cat just likes to post inflammatory comments to get a response. The kid just hates everything. Great idea to ask him to put his money where his mouth is and come on out to see some live music for himself with no money at risk if he's disappointed.

Wow. Some pretty bitter comments based on one photo and a review written by a guy that is pretty consistent in his tastes. Makes a person wonder where all the negativity comes from. I'll not speculate on what forces in this reality have conspired to create such nastiness. Instead - I'll invite you to our show at the Darkroom in March. Come in, introduce yourself, and I'll reimburse your cover. If you hate it (and I have the feeling you will - you really seem to want to hate it), I'll apologize for making you listen to it, and buy you a beverage or snack. At very least, you should "probably" hear the tunes before you make judgements, don't you think? Happy days, kids.

Oh, but that's right, this isn't Chicagoist, this is CENSUREist! I'm quite shocked that my last message wasn't "accidently misplaced" by the blog Nazis here. Besides, by the looks of the picture above, I don't know - they're sending some pretty pretentious vibes to the public. They look like they feel off the "we're too cool to let you in, but hey! we'll keep you on the list" bus. They kind of look like assholes, too. Maybe these are the guys ENJOY bagging my food at Jewels, and are probably nice guys by day, but, hey man - they're playing in a COLLEGE BAND. Go figure! A bunch of no-ones who were a part of other bands that were no-ones come together to make (probably) forgettable music. From the picture, the guy holding the gun should have put it to his head and pulled the trigger, and maybe they'd get a by-line in the Trib someplace next to the siding ads. "Has-Been Kurt Cobain Wanna-Be Pulls Trigger, No One Notices." Sigh. And to have someone from here shilling/whoring for them? Even worse. How Northside.
