MikeH makes a good point. Corgan is so bloated from stardom but he does stick around Chicago. He did put Chicago alternative on the map for many bands to soak up a few bucks. And anonymous, chill out. Everyone who has a brain knows MikeH is not referring to Corgan and Sosa as heroes, but more in the iconic sense. And numbnutz is with an s, not a z. More importantly though, shouldn't we have an ordinance that bands can't reunite for at least 10 years?

I care (and for that matter simply CARED) about the Smattering Bumpkins about as much I cared about the Flubs or the Sucks winning any baseball games in their respective hellhole/tourist traps - I mean, stadiums. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Billy Corgan is a dick. A phenomenal prick of stratasphere-reaching proportions, a pretentious windbag who's flukes have been greater than his contributions to "rock-n-roll," if it can be called that anymore. If any one of you outr there know this twisting dickwad, please, tell him from me that I would rather volunteer to listen to Ashlee Simpson lip-synching for a full 24 hours, then finally driving a No.2 pencil right through both of my ears (thus insuring it would be the last thing I'd ever heard in my life) than to hear his whiny excuses for "music" to be further flopped out of his $300 jeans onto the public's already numbing ears. No wonder Kurt Cobain took the top of his head off - he saw the future of music, and it was "musicians" like Billy Corgan.

Am I weird for saying that I could not care less about the Pumpkins reuniting. There were great and all and I still listen to their records, but after attending Coachella the last two years, I am kind of tired of seeing my favorite bands look over the hill while replaying songs from their better years. (The pixies were the lone exception to this)
