I can vouch for the quality of Picante Grill's food. What i love about the place is that the chef favors richer fowl- goose and duck- and veers away from tradiotional moles. Real de Catorce can be hit or miss. I plan on reviewing this in the near future.

Tony, It's worth a shot. In that category, I like May St. more than Real de Catorce, which was fine, but definitely not worth returning to. Haven't made it to Picante yet. I drive by May St. once every week or so, and it's been interesting to watch the place change. I was sure they were permanently closed until there was finally activity over the past couple months.

with competition from the nearby Picante Grill and Real del Catorce... competition in the Latin Fusion category sure seems tough... I drive by May Street Cafe daily and (even when they're open) it never seems busy... g'luck on the reopening!

I was just blathering to someone who was raving about May St. last week that he was mistaken because it was closed. Thanks for the info. It's great to have such a wonderful place back!

I an glad to hear that they have reopened. I ate there often and was very sad when they closed. They have wonderful upscale food at very reasonable prices. I can't wait to go there this weekend!
