Yesterday Robert Creamer, the husband of Democratic Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, representing our friends up in the 9th District, was sentenced to five months in federal prison for check kiting and withholding taxes.
Creamer is a political consultant who tried to work the system when his community group Illinois Public Action was in some financial trouble in the 90s. He pleaded guilty to the charges last year.
Although Schakowsky was not accused of any wrongdoing, The Swamp reports her Republican opponents in Congress are using Creamer’s prison sentence as an opportunity to fight back against charges that they are the party of corruption. The Dems certainly aren't righteous goodies who never do any wrong, but the Republican cries of "See, they're just as corrupt as we are!" based on this situation seem a little desperate. If they really wanted to go after her, they should attack her for having the freaky and insane Sharon Stone as the guest of honor at her Ultimate Women's Power Lunch at the end of this month.

Here arrogant supper waspy husband runs a grassroots good government organization into the ground by ripping it off, will using his wife's "good government" image to suck up fat contacts as a p.r groupie for Da Boss Daley. Then has the nerve to rip the organization off. Guess they wanted a bigger house in Evanston. What's really sickening is that she had the nerve to tell people that this was just the Bush White House getting back at her for being so outspoken. Her being outspoken on any thing is almost as bad as saying O'bama is fighting for the poor. I'm just so tired of the democratic party aka the wine and cheese wbez to polite to fight set
