C-ville: You should know better than to doubt Chicagoist's Bridgeport Bureau. All of our archives are listed. Just in case you missed it, though. Here's the Ramova review:

http://www.chicagoist.com/archives/2005/07/26/spotlight_on_the_ramova_grill.php

As for Phil's, I've definitely mentioned it. I just haven't done a full review of it.

Thanks for reading

(thanks to Erik M) the only thing I ever bother to order is Ramova's is the chili. The rest of the menu is a major blah, no matter how nice the waitresses/family operators.

Question: is Scott's Hamburger a worthy alternative to Kevin's Hamburger "Heaven" on 554 W. Pershing? The concepts, if you can call it such, can not be more similar. And do they let you add an egg on top?

Chicagoist did do a story about Ramova a few months ago. I got some mileage out of it. I had worked at 33rd & halsted for years in the 80's and never knew that place existed. Checked it out last summer because of chicagoist.
Best part was the waitress when taking my g/f there for breakfast.
girlfriend - Do you have a menu
waitress - /puzzled look/ just tell me what you want for breakfast sweetie we can make it for you.

Chuck, how you continue to avoid places like Ramova and Phil's Pizza amazes (annoys?) alot of us .. NO ONE in his right mind would get a burger at that dirty, rat infested thing.
