Oh man. You forgot the Beverly Yogurt Oasis at 103rd and Western. I worked there in the summers of 1993 and 1994. Great fun. I can see why you didn't list it though. It's just a standard small frozen yogurt place in a tiny strip mall. But I did learn 10 Ice cream shop life lessons while working there.

I have mixed emotions about Rainbow Cone. One summer day a long long time ago I was really in the mood for a rainbow cone, but being as I was 12 and had no money and knowing mom and pop "were not the bank" I knew of onely one way to get one. Pulled the lawnmower out of the garage and went house to house solicting landscape service for $1.00. After finding three suckers to let me cut their lawn I had enough for a Rainbow Cone. Rode my bike over to the ice cream parlor picked up an extra large cone, and attempted to steer my bike with one hand and eat with the other. I made it exactly one block before I hit a large crack in the sidewalk and sent my hard earned rainbow cone flying. The Ice cream was gone before I even tasted one pistachio. Now I am haunted by this story and can never innocently enjoy this summer treat.

I think that's the whole basis behind the Polyphonic Spree.

If possible, I would start a religion based on the Rainbow Cone.
