Wendy's Chili Left Her Hot and Really Bothered

Wendy’s chili is making headlines again, but not because there’s an alleged finger floating in it. No, this time, it’s accused of burning a woman’s thighs.

2006_07_12wendys.jpgNow, we know what you’re thinking. Usually when some beefy goodness sets a woman’s thighs aflame, she isn’t going to complain.

But in this case, she was left with “permanent injuries and disfigurement to her thighs.” Yikes.

The incident happened in 2004, but the lawsuit was just filed against the Naperville Wendy’s that served her the chili. The woman says the “flimsy take-out container” caused the spill.

She is seeking damages of at least $100,000.

News of the lawsuit comes as Ohio-based Wendy’s announces its plans to roll out the Who-Dey Burger in the Cincinnati area, named in honor of a popular Bengal’s fan cheer: “Who dey, who dey, who dey think gonna beat dem Bengals?” (Maybe someone with a better cheer?)

The burger will include shredded cheese, onions and, of course, chili.
