Focus on Extreme Chicagoist

2006_07_stormlow.jpg

After a record 6-day string of 90-degree plus days, Chicago finally got to enjoy a 25-degree cool down and an awesome storm Wednesday night. Up to 1,200 cloud-to-ground strokes were measured within a 225-mile radius of Chicago in a ten-minute period! Chicagoist loves anything extreme, so we took our cameras (and kites) and ran like crazy to the Museum Campus in hopes of a cool photo for our equally x-treme readers. Needless to say, we didn’t think it was wise to fly the kites, but we captured this image that we think rocks big time. Enjoy!
