• CPS’ Back to School party at Millennium Park’s Pritzker Pavilion runs tonight through Friday and features rockin’ kids ensembles, a Chic-a-Go-Go dance party, and school marching bands.
• Here's a good ol' fashioned arts/media brawl. Sun-Times theater critic Hedy Weiss pans the Stages 06 musical showcase. The response from the Dramatists Guild President: reviewing works in development is like reviewing a restaurant before it opens, it's irresponsible. Guild Council members chime in: Yeah, what he said...especially when she didn't even stay to watch the whole thing. Weiss' response: Not so fast guys, I was invited to review these shows.
