Well, Brent, let's be totally honest, all of our events aren't free, but they're damn near close. And if you readers are out there thinking, "What idiots. They totally missed my art opening/whiskey tasting/loft party/12 hour open gin bar/dance recital (BYOB?)" then hit us up with the submission tool. Seriously, and I'm not just saying this because I'm in charge, this site is the best thing since Tankboy started wearing pants around the Chicagoist office again.

I love drink town, but it lists few free things. Chi.myopenbar isnt going to give you every special just the free ones where you can get the most tore up!

I'm just kicking myself becuase my friend Paul and I dicussed doing a similar site about 3 years ago. He always knew which bars had what open bars, etc. going on and when we'd go out, he'd have a whole itinerary for the night stops to maximize the free drinks.
