The shooting was in an alley on the 1900 block of Cullerton. I wonder if the family of the shooting victim would have liked an opportunity to plea for witnesses to come forward?

nitrous oxide, an IV, as well as tablet-based oral sedatives? jiminiey crickets. that would put a full grown man in a coma, let alone a 5 year old.

I guess they can add wrongful death to their legal action contemplation.

If we had any good ideas on how to stop shootings from happening and they weren't being implemented, that would be equally as newsworthy.

The fact of the matter is, based on reports, the child was given a gross overdose of sedatives, and then was not monitored- which is the most basic standard of care, because even patients who receive appropriate doses of sedation can have the reaction this little girl did, and the only way to know is thru monitoring. This tragedy was 100% preventable, and perhaps the publicity surrounding the event will prevent it from happening to another child. THAT makes it newsworthy.

No knowing what the shooting death was about, there was more of a message to this than just a little girl going into a coma. The mother was told to leave the room while the little girl was given three sedatives, an amount professionals have said was too much. The mother said on Fox news in the morning that this her message to all parents was to never leave your child's side at a doctor's office, no matter what the dentist or doctor says.

Where did the shooting occur?

I think the media has played this one too much. It's sad and tragic for all involved. So is the shooting death of my neighbor on Monday night that didn't even rate a mention.
