You wouldn’t have known it this past weekend, but the first snowfall of the season was just last week -– in case you forgot. The first snow usually catches us off guard, and this time was no exception. These days, it’s taking us a little longer to get out the door in the morning -– choosing between coats of varying thickness and having the do-we-or-don’t-we-need/want-a-scarf debate.
How about you? Would you rather be overdressed and prepared for the worse? Or will you defy the cold until you start to turn blue?
Don’t forget to tag your photos with Chicagoist. Each week, we’ll pick our favorite and feature it here in Focus, People, Focus.
October Snow Shower via swanksalot

It's not so much the cold weather that makes it difficult to dress, as is the 20 degree variation between 7.30am to 1pm to 6pm, the way it was a couple weeks ago. I'd like the weather to ease into a nice 10 degree change and stay within one -ty. If I wake up at 6.30, and it's 50F out, I'd like it to get no higher than 59F. That way, the jacket, sweater, and button on the boxers can remain without change.
