I can't believe they are going to auction off those rides. Someone should monitor their destination and count the amount of times someone gets hurt on them. They were in bad shape when I was a kid, and they've rotted under the Dundee sun since last year, untouched. Now they will end up in the hands of some carnies who will use Pomade to grease the joints.
I thank you Chicagoist for making this announcement, as I will no longer take myself, or my child on a carnival ride again (not that I trusted them in the first place, but what you don't know can't hurt you).
