A Big Crafty Mess (Hall)

2006_10sewing.jpg

Come out this Sunday and mix it, match it, rip it, sew it, trade it and give it away. And bring a dish or drink to pass while you're at it. It's Mess Hall's Clothes Swap/Remix/Remake and Brunchluck and it's from 12-4 p.m.

They say it best: "You can trade clothes, give yours away, take other people's stuff, or repair and/or remake any and all of the above. No sewing experience is necessary. Learn to fix a hem or sew on a patch for starters. We will provide sewing machines and other supplies. Bring clothes and any extra fabric you have."

You can read Mess Hall's love letter to Chicago on the train on your way up there, too.

Address: 6932 N. Glenwood Ave. It's right by the Morse stop on the Red Line.
Phone: 773-465-4033. Best for calling on day of events.
