I went to Salpicon recently, and my wife and I had nothing but appetizers. It was great! (Except for the congealed cheese that you mentioned.)

great review. But I doubt I'd want to go to a dressed-down high priced gringo-mex restaurant.

also

"the cheese had cooled and congealed, making it difficult (and not so appealing) to eat. The second thing we would like to have seen is homemade tortillas instead of the mass produced corn variety."

Makes me not want to go at all. Why not just get the cookbook by skip bayless and learn to make your own?
