The reason for the extended sing-alongs was that Jeff's voice was on its way out. The Bomb had played four shows the weekend before and I think it took a toll on Jeff. Didn't make a damn bit of difference. The mighty Raygun roared! I too secretly hope that they had just enough fun playing that they might be coerced into doing it a few more times.

Wait, it's not Cabaret Metro anymore?!

Just kidding. However, does anyone have any idea why they shortened the name in the first place?

Well said. We did yell at the sound guy a few times, and he pretended not to hear us. "Cabaret" Metro kills me. I called it that for about 5 years after they shortened the name and nobody seemed to know what I was talking about.

There's a decent clip of the crowd singing along to "knock me down" at youtube. It was a great show, and being among the first few people against the stage I didn't notice the weak audio... but my ears haven't been the same since the original NAKED RAYGUN shows at the "Caberet" Metro!
