"mechanical malfunctions between gear and monitors, which would have sent most other artists storming off-stage"

Seriously? To what "other artists" are you referring? Malfunctions are quite commonplace (many of them are played off by performers and crew so you don't even notice from the audience), but storm-off-the-stage tantrums are not.

I was at the Thursday show. Evan did the acoustic thing Thursday as well, and my highlight as well was the acoustic version of "The Outdoor Type" from the great film The Tao of Steve. I had another one of those "i'm where I'm supposed to be" moments (ther other was at the Morrissey show at the Aragon a few weeks ago with everyone singing along with "Please, Please, Please let me get what I want) when everyone in the crowd sang along with Dando. The Lemonheads sounded great - I too walked home from the show with a very satisfied grin on my face.

And I too also rather liked Vietnam - I found them a to be a bit of a cross between the Stone Temple Pilots, and Grant Lee Buffalo.

Thursday's show was just as spectacular. The high point for me was when he did his solo "Outdoor Type." I swooned.
I'm still on a Lemon high.

I was at Friday's show, and certainly agree that Skulls was a high point. Evan really seemed to understand that his audience was full of people there to see the 'greatest hits', and he delivered, without a trace of begrudging. And he's still really hot!
