Tony, I want your job. When I lived with roommates, we'd usually spend $800-900 for something halfway decent (either located far from a train stop or a garden apt.) $1200 feels "moderately priced" not "cheap" to me.

Try to find a list by county instead of state, I bet the other 90% of Illinois that isn't Chicago is dragging the average way down.

Thanks for the article about the upcoming election. It's true. Public housing such as the Ida Noyes home isn't really taken care of. A lot of the 'poor neighborhoods' remain run down due to apathy from the government. However, I don't agree with all of Brown's statement in the argument, especially the 'wage ordinance.' It's just not a sound economic policy (it has been done before by the US and we hit high inflations before Reagon's time.)
