2007 Bloggies Nominations

2007_01_webbies.jpg

Nominations for the 2007 Bloggies, the blog awards of the year, are now being accepted. Chicagoist has attended the awards ceremony at SXSW in the past, and we'll be there again this year representin' Chicago. Don't let us go home without making an awkward acceptance speech and picking up an award!

We would like to encourage you to nominate your favorite blog (ahem ... Chicagoist) in any of a number of categories: Best American Weblog, Best Group Weblog, Best Topical Weblog, Best Community Weblog, or Weblog of the Year. Nominate early, nominate often! Nominations are being accepted from now until January 10. And don't worry, once the nominations are in, we'll remind you again to vote!

I think the Broken Heart of Rogers Park is one of the best neighborhood blogs for news in my area. Craig updates his blog everyday with a new story on various problem that effect the community. The problem he reports seems to get fixed very soon after the story is posted. His site can be found at http://morsehellhole.blogspot.com
