Try telling the families of those who are needlessly killed in cellphone induced car accidents that you were just making sure you didn't double tap the screen, and that if Apple weren't so unreasonable in their product design then you wouldn't have killed their child. Kyle, she is RIGHT about the touchscreen key pad for dialing when on the move.. i have HTC Wizard.. and its a bitch to use the touchscreen when driving, cuz u always have to look at the screen to make sure you havent 'double-tapped' the number by accident.. having a REAL keypad , IMO, is imperative.. cuz u need 'senses' to make the usability better.

Not sure whether you looked, but in fact the column *is* from Padmasree's blog (at blogs.motorola.com, dated six days ago). If you look at the other articles there, you'll see she tries to take a joking tone, uses hyperbole freely, and is fond of exclamation points. Note that Motorola has made a number of touch-screen-only phones, none of which has appealed to an American carrier enough to sell it here, so the skepticism has some basis in experience.
