I agree with anonymous in number 2, except for the first eight words of the comment. Allow me to replace them with my own assessment, agreeing entirely with the rest of anonymous’ statement:

David Lynch's new film, Inland Empire is over-rated, recycled crap.

And just for the record. I was there at the 8pm, waited in line in the cold with giddy anticipation. Loved the first 10 min, hated the rest. Parts of the cinematography were interesting, other than that, over-rated, recycled, crap.

I agree with #2. I went to the 8pm showing on Saturday and was waiting and kept waiting for some plot development. Yes it kept me wondering after the movie to what it was about but not in a great way. Now i know why David Lynch decided to release it without any major studio backing, the studio would have told him to edit the movie to a more coherent script from the much too long 2hr59min run time.

That said, I cannot wait until April 3rd for the release of Twin Peaks Season Two on DVD!

This is the most blatant and obvious, yet incoherent film by Lynch that I have seen. It's basically a retelling of Mulholland Drive with even less narrative.
