Seriously....don't even compare Chicago and Seattle when it comes to coffee. Take the 2 awards that Intelligentsia(sp?) and the other place got, and enjoy them.
I grew up in the Chicago area and lived in Wrigleyville for 5 years, but I now live in Capital Hill in Seattle....

Starbucks of course does well here, but it might be the worst coffee in town.

Next you'll probably be saying Chicago has better beer than Seattle....now that would be a riot.

One of the many things that Chicago does have over Seattle though; lots of great sports bars...Seattle doesn't have a clue when it comes to that.

Now that you've set the bar so high, I fully expect more Third Bass photos during next year's Super Bowl run to the, um, cactus.

Sorry, Seattlest Tom, between the crapiness of MS Vista and Starbucks, please tell me Amazon is worth writing home about. After all we did steal Boeing.

As for you, Mr. Sado...

Musta been a white guy who started all that!

I was gonna ask about the relevance of Third Base (from the NY)picture as well?

p.s I loved MC serch as "1/16th Black" in Mos Def's hip hop group The Mau Mau's in Spike Lees film Bamboozled!

Most of us in Seattle know that Starbucks tastes burnt and crappy. That's why we drink better stuff from non-Starbucks shops, regardless of its provenance. (Seriously, independent cafes are as prevalent in Seattle as Taco and Hot Dog joints are in Chicago.) Most of us don't have any patriotic love for Starbucks and don't really consider it a hometown company worth supporting.
