We just heard that a bunch of area schools are closed because of the cold, so woo-hoo if you're in school. A free day to stay home and play video games! Though, we bet it does put a lot of families in a bind to try to find childcare all of a sudden. Here's a list of the schools that are closed.

Why don't they shut down work when it gets too cold?
Aren't schools supposed to provide heat? This is really lame...
I don't think it's lame. I wouldn't want my kid walking to school or waiting for the bus or being outside in negative 9 degree (before windchill) weather.
Whooo. It's a good day to be in high school.
I'm not going to my one class today. It takes me extra time to get bundled up, then de-bundle once I arrive, then bundle up again when it's time to go.
The one class I do have could easily turn itself into an online course, and I think that's what it should do for this week...and all my other classes too.
Too bad there are no colleges on that list.
Kids need to go to school. A smallpox outbreak? ok. Weather? C'MON! That is why there are gloves, coats, and scarves... To keep people warm during times like these.
