i don't care about the cub, don't care about prior, but do you think mariotti can shut the f up already about bartman? yeah, i'm a sox fan, but not the sort who wears 'bartman' jerseys and stupid stuff like that. and the thing is, SB wasn't even the one lunging for the ball, was he -- or if he was, he was one of a handful of dopes lunging for it. yet he bears all the 'blame' for what happened. can't mariotti and anyone else just let it go already?

What Prior obviously needs is a first-class sports shrink. He has never recovered mentally from being hit by that line drive. I doubt he will start another game as a Cub, but after his North Side career is over, someone else will take a chance on him at a cutrate price. In the long run, Prior will be a journeyman middle relief/5th starter with occasional flashes of his old brilliance.

Finally. Benjy, I think this is the first decent post you've ever given us. Keep up the good work; I truly hope this isn't a flash in the pan like Prior's career.
