I've never heard of "jouncy" either (a pretty cool word I'll have to add in converstation), but I'll take the Long Winters over the Shins. Just compare the latest releases from each, no contest Putting The Days To Bed was awesome. Too bad I couldn't make it out to the show.

Well ...
con·ceit·ed (kən-sē'tĭd) pronunciation
adj.

Holding or characterized by an unduly high opinion of oneself; vain.

To quote a great man, I do not think that word means what you think it means. To wit, I answered snark with snark, not conceit.

Okay, obviously you've spied on my morning's ablutions and confused that with vanity, but I'm not sure how it really has anything to do with the verbal equation above.

Wow, tankboy, that has to be the most conceited answer I have ever seen to someone who was actually interested enough in your posts to counsel your expertise and ask a musical question.

Let's see, how to reply to that question. Here, I have an idea, let's open a dictionary.

Main Entry: jouncy
Pronunciation: 'jaun(t)-sE
Function: adjective
Inflected Form(s): jounc·i·er; -est
: marked by a jouncing motion or effect

Hmmm, well ... oh!

Main Entry: jounce
Pronunciation: 'jaun(t)s
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): jounced; jounc·ing
Etymology: Middle English
intransitive verb : to move in an up-and-down manner : BOUNCE

So that, plus ...

Main Entry: 5pop
Function: adjective
Etymology: by shortening
1 : POPULAR : as a : of or relating to popular music b : of or relating to the popular culture disseminated through the mass media

Do the verbal addition, my friend, and you have your answer!
