Coyote Grabs Lunch at Quizno's

Chicagoist is all about your on-the-street reporting, so when we received news of a coyote running through downtown this afternoon, we had to pass it along.

Our source first saw the coyote outside of the post office at Adams and Dearborn. It then ran east down the middle of Adams and through the intersection of Adams and State. All without being hit by a cab.

Our little coyote friend then made its way into a Quizno's. Once inside it made a bee-line for the refrigerated case holding salads, Sobe drinks and desserts, where it sat while one patron finished lunch and police blocked the store entrance.

Today's incident is yet another "urban coyote" sighting in and around Chicago in the past few years.

(Thanks for the tip, Jeremy!)
