I agree, they should be banned. Segway is actively trying to get state laws to exempt the scooters from falling under the same guidelines as motor scooters. It's total bullshit, you can't ride a skateboard anywhere in the central business district, but you can ride those death traps? Ridicule is deserving for all who step on those monsters.

hehe, three hour tour. i've never given segways a second thought before, but that tour sounds really fun, if a bit pricey. i love the idea of fresh new perspectives on chicago, preferably on a sunny day in the 80s.

What a total rip-off. Anyone who has spent anytime in Millenium/Grant Parks can attest that these tourists create serious hazards to pedestrians on these silly machines. When is the city going to regulate the Segway pestilence--keeping them off of sidewalks and pedestrian paths?
