- LaSalle's out, Bank of America's in.
- A team of robbers ganged up on Wendy on the 8600 block of South Stony Island Avenue and threw her employees in the freezer and made off with an unknown amount of money. Dave Thomas must be sad in his grave.
- A second body has been exhumed in an ongoing investigation into nursing home deaths. They're looking into possible morphine "overdoses."
- Former Washington, D.C., police chief Charles Ramsey is considering coming home to apply for the open police chief's job ... but he's also concerned about being able to still collect his Chicago police pension. He'll be perfect!
- The Illinois State Senate passed an electricity rate freeze ... but it won't affect most Chicago customers. Drat.
- An accident on Sunday had cheese spilling all over the Skyway. There could be possible jokes here, but we'll leave those to you.

Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Doesn't have the same ring to it.
Not that anything with the name of a bank is easy on the eyes/ears or for that matter easy to remember.
I can't even keep straight which "bank" pavilion is what used to be the Tweeter/New World Music Theater or the one out on Northerly Island.
I love how the Sun Times article makes ZERO mention of the possiblity of Lasalle having a second round of bidding with RBS....
RBS wants to buy Lasalle and expand its own presence here in the US...
After going through 5 different bank names (some local bank, NBD, First Chicago, Bank One, Chase) on my account last held by Chase, I jumped to LaSalle a couple years ago (not because of that, but because they added an ATM in my building). laSalle's been around forever under that name. So much for bank stability...
