Punky pizza and ska beer. I've yet to try either, but just from the sound of it, if i was headed to the chair, this would be my last meal.

[will not get into raging debates with people who hate good music, will not get into raging flaming debates with people whose first reflexes are to hate. must not get worked up. will buy a 6-pack of ska beer. will be happy...repeat.]

If you're gonna honor a music style, might as well go back to the roots.

The white man's bastardization of reggae is reggae.

Or Shabba Ranks' misogynistic dancehall.

OK, Israel-ight is a pretty good beer name. but isn't that reggae? Ska is just the white man's bastardization of reggae.

Nope, Mike. I just tried to do something different this month, and focus on a single brewery, instead.

Although I did ask Bill Graham if they were ever going to make beers related to the music's roots, like Desmond Dekker, the Wailers, and Jimmy Cliff. I'd buy an "Israel-ight" lager or "Johnny Too Bad" porter in a heartbeat.

Is Chicagoist being paid off by the Ska brewing company? I refuse to drink a beer named after an annoying, past-its-prime musical style.
